I’m Getting Married in the Morning (actually the afternoon)

If you haven’t found it already, be sure to check out our wedding blog at benandmatthew.com. You can watch the ceremony online at Livestream. Please also consider donating to our Okinawa Fund to help us move to Okinawa together as the military still doesn’t recognize Ben and my husband and dependent.

  1. Congratulations!!!!! I will definitely be watching! I hope one day to meet my future husband and get married!!

  2. This is lovely. I’ve been following your posts since they first began, and you and your partner are great role models. My partner and I have been together for 21 years. I was “out” in the Air Force even before Don’t Ask was put into effect, and yet I managed to get an honorable discharge and, subsequently, a secret clearance for the first military contractor I worked for. At any rate, I’m so glad that LGBTs can serve openly and proudly in our great military establishment. Best of luck to your both.

  3. Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not Love
Which alters when it alteration finds
Nor bends with the remover to remove.
Oh no ! It is an ever fixed mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken.
It is the star to every wandering bark
Whose worth’s unknown, although his height be taken.
Love’s not Time’s fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle’s compass come,
Love alters not withi his brief hours and weeks
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.

  4. So happy for you both! Congrats! Enjoy the day and just know how happy I am for you two. ((Hugs))
